Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning in a private family safari vehicle and travel south to Amboseli National Park. Arrive at your child-friendly lodge in time for lunch and check-in. After a relaxed afternoon break, enjoy your first family game drive across the open plains, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and other wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop.
Day 2
Full Day Family Safari in Amboseli
Spend the day exploring Amboseli at a comfortable family pace with morning and afternoon game drives. Visit the marsh areas where elephants, buffaloes and many bird species gather. Breaks can be adjusted for younger travellers, and optional activities may include a short nature talk, swimming time at the lodge or a family sundowner, subject to availability.
Day 3
Amboseli to Masai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive in Amboseli before returning toward Nairobi. Continue to the Masai Mara by scheduled flight or road transfer, depending on the selected package. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your family-friendly lodge or tented camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and plains game.
Day 4
Full Day Family Safari in Masai Mara
Enjoy a full day of flexible family game viewing in the Masai Mara. Your guide will adapt the pace and duration of the drives to suit the children and the day’s wildlife movements. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and large herds of plains animals. Optional experiences may include a Maasai cultural visit, junior ranger activity or picnic lunch in the reserve.
Day 5
Masai Mara to Nairobi
Begin the day with an optional early morning family game drive followed by breakfast at camp. Check out and enjoy a final short wildlife drive before travelling back to Nairobi by scheduled flight or road, according to the chosen package. Arrive for drop-off at your hotel, residence or airport, marking the end of your five-day family safari.
