Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive southeast to Tsavo East National Park. Enter the park for a game drive en route to your lodge, searching for red elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes and other wildlife around the open plains and Aruba Dam. Arrive for lunch, relax briefly and continue with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2
Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tsavo East before breakfast. Depart for Tsavo West National Park, known for rugged scenery, volcanic hills and rich wildlife. Visit Mzima Springs, where clear water supports hippos, crocodiles, fish and birdlife. Depending on time, explore the Shetani Lava Flow and Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3
Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Tsavo West before departing for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, explore the open plains in search of large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and other wildlife, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop when the weather is clear. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4
Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Amboseli followed by breakfast. Depart through Nairobi and continue to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy an optional boat ride to see hippos and birdlife or visit Crescent Island for a guided nature walk among giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5
Lake Naivasha to Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast overlooking Lake Naivasha. Depending on your schedule, relax at the lodge or take a short optional activity before departing for Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your five-day Tsavo, Amboseli and Lake Naivasha safari.
